Catalina Medrano became the EB Division manager at the Texas Education Agency, contributing to the creation of an EB family toolkit to support Texas school leaders. She believes that communities flourish when all voices heard, recognizing multilingual parents and their communities as vital stakeholders. By leveraging these cultural and linguistic strengths, we can improve educational outcomes across Texas.

Dr. Evelyn Sauceda, Multilingual Director at Nacogdoches ISD, successfully implemented the pilot project and was honored as Texas State Leader of the Year for her transformative work.

Parent and Family Empowerment includes coaching stakeholders, advisory groups, emphasizing home language and literacy, fostering community, and ensuring understanding of program protections and procedures.
